Day 4(2)

                       Time 9:22 am

Location Outskirts of Stafford

"Who are you and why are you here?"(??)

A man said pointing his shotgun on everyone. Suddenly Samuel, Jeanette and Nickolai took defensive position and prepared to shoot. This caused a sudden rise in tension

"Some human survivors"(Samuel)

"Friend or foe"(??)

"Depends on your next next move"(Samuel)

As soon as Samuel completed his words, the man who was pointing his gun on them gave a sigh and stopped pointing his gun and said

"I am Jack. A police officer. I am protecting few civilians. And you guys"(Jack)

"Ahh just some soldiers and civilians."(Samuel)

"Follow me"(Jack)

All of them followed him inside. When they reach inside suddenly...

"Olivia!!"(Andrew)

Andrew rushes to hug the girl. As soon as others saw her they said

"If she is here"(Lofe)

"Oh god! Please not here"(Nickolai)

Suddenly a guy hit Lofe with a punch. As soon as that happened, Lofe also replied with a punch. This made everyone to prepare their weapons but....

"Let them be. Ignore them"(Nickolai)

"Bastard. Atlast I meet you again. You are going down"(??)

"As if. You are going down"(Lofe)

"Oh god."(Nickolai)

"Who are they Nickolai"(Jeanette)

"That girl is Olivia. And that guy is Oliver. Both are twins and are our childhood friends. They moved away in middle school"(Nickolai)

"Oliver & Lofe stop it."(Olivia)

"Yes mam"(Oliver & Lofe)

"Mom and Dad are also here. Wanna meet them?"(Olivia)

"Sure"(Andrew)

"Uncle and Aunt are here? Sure. I want to meet them"(Nickolai)

"Then I can leave the guest with you both. I am going back at my position"(Jack)

"Ok"(Olivia)

They all left with Olivia and Oliver. On the way they greeted two more survivors Whose names were Alex & Logan. When they reached inside they greeted parents of Oliver and Olivia. And had breakfast.

"So what place is this"(Sarah)

"A chemical factory."(Oliver)

"Wait doesn't that mean that there would be a lab here?"(Andrew)

"Yes. There is but we have no electricity to use it and there are few zombies in there."(Oliver)

"Great"(Andrew)

"But I saw solar panels from outside. Why not use them?"(Lofe)

"We tried but we couldn't get them to work"(Olivia)

"Lofe can't you fix that?"(Jeanette)

"Maybe. But i don't know location where to find breakers"(Lofe)

"We can help you with that"(Oliver)

"Then I want to examine the lab"(Andrew)

"Hmmm. Nickolai and Jean you go with Lofe And inspect the area and so he can repair electric supply. I will go with Andrew and check the lab. But who will guide us"(Samuel)

"I can go with Lofe's group. Olivia you go with Andrew's group"(Oliver)

"What will I do then?"(Sarah)

"Stay here?"(Nickolai)

"No way I am missing on the fun. I will go out with your group. I too want to inspect the area. Later I also want to see the lab" (Sarah)

"Well take her with you Nick"(Samuel)

"Yeah yeah. Ok ."(Nickolai)

"Remember to stay in touch and if you need help or backup ask for it or just retreat. Don't take unnecessary risks. Now commence the mission"(Samuel)

"So let us begin"(Andrew)

"It's hard to get sleep in a war zone isn't it Nick" (Jeanette)

"Yeah" (Nickolai)

"So you both are also awake huh. Well i have a job for you guys" (Andrew)

"Job?" (Nickolai)

"See that medical store? I need you to escort me there so i can get some stuff." (Andrew)

"Great idea. I am in!" (Jeanette)

"Me too!" (Sarah)

"Wait why are you in. Let us handle it" (Nickolai)

"I am black belt martial artist so i am stronger than the guy you are escorting and i am good at close range fight" (Sarah)

"Come On Nick let her in what's the problem with it"(Jeanette)

"You say something Andrew"(Nickolai)

"I have no problem. Now if you may let's proceed" (Andrew)

"We will be on guard here. Come back fast" (Samuel)

"Roger"

"Wait here you two. We will check inside first then you can come in" (Jeanette)

"Ok"(Andrew & Sarah)

Gun fires could be heard but it was too low to be noticed due to silencer. After gunshots was settled both Andrew & Sarah were called in.

"Nick guard the door"(Jeanette)

"Ok"(Nickolai)

"Hmm so i would need many things hopefully they are all here"(Andrew)

"What all stuff do you need?"(Sarah)

"Many things like bandages, antiseptics, injections, antibiotics, paracetamol, painkillers, vitamins etc"(Andrew)

"Why would you need vitamins?"(Sarah)

"The food we are eating is not adequate for our body. It mostly contains fibre and low protein and vitamin content. We need to stay healthy at all cost so it is basically necessary. You should also take what is necessary for you and why you came here."(Andrew)

"You knew?"(Sarah)

"I am a biology student. I know everything."(Andrew)

"Creep"(Sarah)

"Wait what?!??!?"(Andrew)

"Don't waste time by talking and work"(Nickolai)

"Yeah yeah"(Andrew)

After 30 mins all the materials were gathered. After that they prepared to leave back to the place where Samuel and Lofe were.

"Good. Now that you guys are back, escort me to nearby hardware store"(Lofe)

"Why?"(Nickolai)

"I need some tools. If we need to survive. We will need many tools like wrench, screwdrivers etc or else we will be vulnerable." (Lofe)

"Great thought."(Samuel)

"Alright. Jean you coming?"(Nickolai)

"Ok"(Jeanette)

"I am staying here. I need to check all stuff again. I couldn't get a good eye on it last time when we were in store" (Andrew)

"No problem." (Lofe)

"Well then let's go" (Nickolai)

Three of them left for nearby hardware shop to get Important stuff

"It's safe inside now. Lofe take whatever you need. And if you find take some repair kit for our car so we are not in trouble if it breaks down in between the ride" (Jeanette)

"Got you covered."(Lofe)

"Be swift and fast. We need to complete this mission as soon as possible because if we don't do it soon zombies might start flocking here."(Nickolai)

"Also tomorrow the strikes will take place and i don't want us to get caught in it" (Jeanette)

"You two kept talking and i found my necessity. Let's leave"(Lofe)

"How did you do it so fast!"(Nickolai)

"I just grabbed engineering kit, air pump and machine oil. Plus all of them were in show so it was easy to find."(Lofe)

"Sooo we are ready to leave huh. Andrew took his time though"(Jeanette)

"Because there is nothing called medical kit. Oh that reminds me i needed to grab his dissection kit. I just forgot" (Lofe)

"Fast"(Nickolai)

"Done let's leave"(Lofe)

Three of them left to get back to everyone else and all of them prepared to leave

"It's boring"(Andrew)

"It truly is"(Lofe)

"Kill some zombies then"(Sarah)

"Or just play rock paper scissors"(Nickolai)

"Alright"(Andrew)

And soon rock paper tournament began inside the car. Tension due to zombies reduced due to this tournament. But this enjoyment wasn't there for long.

Time 8:55 am

"Engine is roasted. It's beyond repair"(Lofe)

"Dammit and there are no cars in sight either."(Andrew)

"Hmm. Let's walk then. It's better to keep moving rather than staying. Everyone grab one bag each and prepare your guns. Jean and Nick you both will guard our backs. You kids keep an eye on surrounding for any shed. I will take down zombies if necessary."(Samuel)

"Got it"(Nickolai)

"Take your kits. Lofe carry some extra guns same goes for you Sara. Andrew take all medical kit and keep them with you. Lofe keep your kit with you too. I will carry food. Nick can carry important stuff with dad." (Jeanette)

"Ah! Before that everyone drink this.Just take a sip" (Andrew)

"What's this?"(Lofe)

"Coffee. It can induce adrenaline rush into you. It will help us alot."(Andrew)

"It's true we will have higher energy level for some time so let's do it"(Samuel)

All of them had a sip of it and started moving forward while guarding their backs and shooting the dead on the way. After an hour of walking they finally found a shelter.

"It looks like it's abandoned. Should we check?"(Nickolai)

"Don't know. Better keep our guns high. Andrew use your scope to check if someone is there"(Samuel)

"Hmm I can't spot anyone. Let's go and check" (Andrew)

"Be vigilant" (Samuel)+

All of them walked silently while taking cover and when they reached inside....

"Who are you and why are you here?"(??)

Apocalypse Chapter 3 Day 3

Apocalypse

Location –4 MERCIAN, Birmingham

Day 3

Time - 4:30 am

"Let's recheck our equipments. Flash light?"

"Check."

"Extra batteries?"

"Check."

"Guns reassembled and cleaned?"

"Yes."

"Looks like we're ready to go. As soon as there is enough light outside we will leave."

"Sure"

In the morning mist Jeanette and Nickolai check their equipments before leaving for a mission

"Have you guys prepared?" asked the old man Samuel

"Yes, dad. We are prepared to move out. We have also taken some extra bullets just in case we need more and we have also installed silencers on our pistols. We even took our daggers." Jeanette replied.

"Good"

"Sir, I would like to know where my friends are." Nickolai requested

"Well, it's still morning. I will allow them to sleep till 6 after which their training will start." Samuel replied

"The sun'll be rising soon." Jeanette said while looking outside through the window.

"Before you both start the mission, here take two of these walkie-talkies. Stay on comms with me and hit me if you come across any trouble and keep updating me at every step you take. And NIckolai, keep my daughter safe or you won't see a tomorrow."

"Yes, sir. Roger that." said Nickolai

"Come, let's have some tea before you two leave."

"Sure." They both agreed

Time 5:35 am

"Let's go!"

"Bye, dad. See you later."

"All the best kids. Don't die out there."

After saying their goodbyes both of them moved forward to nearest supermarket.

"There's our first zombie." whispered Jeanette

"Pay no attention to it and keep moving. We can't waste our time on them. So, by the map how far is this Supermarket?" replied Nickolai

"Hmm, maybe around 2 more miles. Hopefully, it has all the necessities we need."

"Yeah. Hopefully."

"You know I want to know how these things are even walking about. Didn't we study that all living organisms need energy to for moving and doing stuff then how can these things even walk."

"Don't ask me. Ask these questions to the idiot back at our base."

"Base?"

"The house that we are living in at the moment."

"Oooh, I see."

Suddenly, we heard a loud shriek from a distance.

"Heard that?" asked Jeanette

"Yeah and it's coming closer. Look, it's a chopper."

"We have got to signal them for help but how?"

"They are dropping some papers let go take a look."

"Sure"

Both of them ran towards the site and Nickolai picked up a sheet of paper.

"What does it say, Nick?" Jeanette asked after looking at pale face of Nickolai.

"Crap. We need to inform others, right now." said Nickolai with terrified expression.

A little time back

"I am dead tired" said Andrew while sitting on couch

"True. Uncle Sam is a strict teacher. But atlast we were able to reassemble our guns in less than 3 mins" replied Lofe

"I have done preparations. Now is your shooting practice time. I have fixed a scope on your rifle Andrew which u requested to be used by you. As for Lofe i have prepared your M16." Come to first floor to use them" said Samuel giving them an order to assemble.

"Atlast we are going to shoot some dead men" said Lofe

"I have a bad feeling about it.What if there is a way to save them all" (Andrew)

"Are you kidding me? Those monsters just want to kill us. Nothing more do they want."

"but still i don't like it"

"Just forget it and come upstairs for practice"

"Ok"

"Now Reload, Aim and then press tigger. Lofe i put your gun on semi automatic so 1 bullet per click"

"Ok"

"Now press"

Bang

"Headshots on your first attempt huh good job"

"Thanks" (Lofe & Andrew)

*Dad do you hear me! Dad!*

After picking up the radio

"What happened?"

*There has been an issue for air striking in this whole region in 2 days time. I and Nick will try to scavenge everything we can and head back then we will leave north.*

"Shit" (Andrew)

"We are doomed seriously" (Lofe)

"Understood. Also get some fuel while you both are scavenging. We will use the Jeep of the owner of this house. It has plenty of space"

*Roger that*

"As you both have already heard them. Pack your bags we will be leaving soon"

"Aye Sir" both of them replied

Time 12 noon

"Alright let's leave. Anyone who wants to go to washroom shall go now only as we wont get to use one for long" said samuel after arming himself up for the long trip

Suddenly Andrew, Lofe & Jeanette stood up and left

"Nick i want you to sit in back and be ready for any actions. I want both of your friends to sit in middle while I drive and Jeanette will provide support from front. I am expecting you two to be ready for anything. I have taught Lofe to use assault rifle while Andrew learned to use his dad's rifle"

"That's good. But i want those two to stay as backup. Especially Andrew. I hope he can come up with something soon. As wicked as this world is right now, I don't think there will be many who can find a cure for this madness."

"I understand. Now looking at map, we will be out of the city in about 30 mins if there is no traffic. For now let's head for Stafford as it is out of strike zone. We still don't know where is the last stand of army"

"Roger that"

"Hmm you three are back. Let's move out"

"Ok!" everyone said and started their journey

TIme 4:28 pm

"It's taking longer than usual." (Andrew)

"Of Course. Most of the roads are

blocked" (Nickolai)

"So many corpses are here and they look like they were slashed with a sword" (Lofe)

Suddenly Jeanette intervenes

"Look a human girl. We must help her"

"Jean, Nick move and help her to get here. Andrew help me guard their backs. Lofe guard us from zombies which are trying to get near us. Move now!" (Samuel)

"Roger!" (Everyone)

Jeanette and Nickolai dashed towards the girl who was using a sword to cut zombies. Andrew and Samuel supported their dash and guarded their backs while Lofe guarded the car.

"They have got her. I am starting engine get in car"

"Roger"( Andrew & Lofe)

All three of them hoped in the car and soon other three also joined them

"Move they are following us" (Nickolai)

And soon they drove at highest speed they could

"So what's your name little miss" (Jeanette)

"Sarah, 18 year old high schooler"

"Cool moves you had there with your sword but it looks bend" (Lofe)

"It's a katana"

"Kahthana??" (Andrew)

"Katana. An ancient Japanese sword used by samurais. My father brought this from Japan when he was on a business trip. So where are you guys headed to." (Sarah)

"We are headed for Stafford. We will find an abandoned factory or something like that there and wait for help."(Samuel)

"Ok.... So what's the name of you guys" (Sarah)

"I am Jeanette. This is my dad Samuel. Ones sitting next to you are Lofe and Andrew and last but not the least Nickolai who is cleaning his gun"(Jeanette)

"Cool. So you guys can use guns huh" (Sarah)

"Yup"(Andrew)

"Let's take over that Starbucks for tonight and leave tomorrow morning"(Samuel)

"Roger" (Everyone )

Apocalypse Chapter 2 Day 2

Apocalypse

Location –4 MERCIAN, Birmingham

Day 2

Time 3:45 am

Location – Mosley, Birmingham

Three of us drove off and started to move. It was already 3:45 in the morning. “So where are we heading?” asked Lofe. “Queen Victoria Hospital. Let’s hope we meet someone there” replied Andrew. “Shouldn’t we be moving to a military camp rather than a hospital. You should say something Nickolai…. he is asleep seriously.” .“Ha-ha great. I too wanna sleep. You drive after you take a nap. I will wake you guys up when we reach there. Now sleep.” Replies Andrew.

After an hour of driving and finding and using many different routes they reached there but…

“Wake up faggots.” says Andrew. Suddenly Nickolai wakes and in half sleep says “Is breakfast ready?”. Andrew was speechless but Lofe says “No but looks like we have reached hospital but is burning.” “Yeah” replies Andrew gloomily.  Nickolai asks “why did we come to a hospital?” In this Lofe adds “Don’t know. He wanted to come here.” On this Andrew replies “I thought we might meet someone here but I was wrong. Let’s move to 4 MERCIAN, Army Reserve Centre.  I hope someone might be there. Lofe you drive. I am too sleepy. Take Farquhar Road to go there. It was clearest route.” “Okay.” replies Lofe. “What’s the time?” ask Nickolai. “4:20 am “replies Andrew.

As Andrew proceeds to sleep, Lofe takes over the car. Some time passes.

 There is silence in the car when suddenly Nickolai says “Remember our first school trip when we were in 4^th grade?” ”Yeah. I remember it clearly. We played a lot, ate together and that day we also did a sleep over together. It was great. But I would have never thought something like this might happen” replied Lofe.

Time passes. After changing many routes they finally reach. “Wake up idiot. We have reached where we wanted to.” says Lofe. “Let me go out and check out. Stay in here.” said Nickolai. “Mmmm let’s get out of here I am too tired for it” said Andrew. Suddenly Nickolai calls for us. We go out and were shocked. Lofe breaks the silence and says “What the hell?!?!”

Time 6:25 am

“What the hell” says Lofe after what he saw. The whole place was destroyed with dead bodies lying. It was like that place had a massacre by some psycho who loves killing. “Let’s search for guns here. We might find some here. Stick close to me. We don’t know what can happen here.” Nickolai said giving us two a warning. “Ok” other two replied. Searching from each dead body the three tried best and looked whole area for resources. Trunks, crates everything but they were unable to find out something. The only things they could find were 2 pistols and some daggers. “What are these guns called and how much bullets can it fire” asked Lofe. “Pistols are called Sig Sauer Sig P226. They are semi-automatic guns with 15 rounds firing capacity.  They are good for close defenses.  And the daggers are also of good quality. Let’s get out of here and search for shelter now” said Nickolai. “Wow you know a lot about guns” says Andrew. “I am working for Canadian defense if I remember correctly” said Nickolai. “Y-yeah”  replied Andrew. “So where are we going to go?”.  “Don’t know let’s look for some other camp. Maybe we can find someone there.” said Nickolai. But suddenly they hear a noise. When they turn they were shocked. All of them were surrounded by big amount of zombies. “W-what should we do. We are doomed.” said Andrew. “Don’t fear. Take the guns and run behind me” said Nickolai. Both of them took one pistol each and started running behind Nickolai. Nickolai kept on firing at zombies and started clearing the way while Andrew and Lofe also used their bats to get out of there. When a zombie was just going to bite Andrew, a bullet pierced the zombie’s head. As soon as this happen Andrew tries to locate the path of bullet and sees a white flag outside a home some blocks away. “There is someone inside that building” says Andrew.  “Let go there” said Lofe. “No we will not go there directly. We will have to take longer route” Said Nickolai. “Understood” both of them said.

Three of them started running in different direction to reach there. They tried to use melee weapons rather than guns so as to make less noise. Running through corners and hiding, they finally reach the house with the flag. But they first check if no zombie is following. Then Lofe knocks at door whereas Andrew and Nickolai prepare their guns. Suddenly a voice comes from inside.  A girl opens the door and says “Hello Nickolai. It’s been long since we met last time.” “Y-you” says Nickolai shocked

Time 9:10 am

“Y-you?” says Nicolai shocked.

“Shocked!?  What did you expect.  Obviously it’s me. Now get in” says mysterious  girl.

“You know her?”  Lofe whispers to Nickolai.

“Yes,  we are in the same corps in the army. Her name is Jeanette.” Goes back to Jeanette. “What are you doing here?” 

“Same as you.  I was enjoying my holidays until all this happened.” replies Jeanette.

 “So, are you alone?” asked Nickolai.

“Ahh,  I guess not. So, u wanted to me to be alone so u could have some privacy with me?  But sadly daddy’s here.” replied Jeanette.

“L-Lieutenant is here.” said Nickolai.

 “This girl looks close to him. Can she be his girlfriend?”  Lofe whispered to Andrew.

“Who knows. We don’t know what he’s been  up to back in Canada.” Replied Andrew.

 “Well, lets just ask her  for details ” said Lofe.

 “Yeah” replied Andrew.

“Hmm, looks like you made it safely here.  And some friends have also joined you, huh Nickolai?” said an old man who was walking down the stairs.

 ”Lieutenant Samuel. Its an honour  to see you here!” said Nickolai while saluting.

“Looks like he is an important man” whispered Lofe to Andrew.

 “Sure is” replied Andrew.

 “No need to be formal Nickolai. Well, why don’t you guys make yourselves  while you are here?” said Samuel. In the living room, Everyone started with introducing themselves while eating.

“Hello. I am Andrew Wartin. A microbiologist and a bio technician” said Andrew.

“I am Lofe Kingston. I am a Mechanical Engineer” said Lofe.

 “Nick must’ve told u,  I am Jenette Rondeez. I am in Canadian defense force. I am in same corps as Nick.” said Jenette.

“She calls him Nick. Hmm, suspicious.”  Lofe  thought.

“I am Mr. Rondeez. Y’all  can call me Sam.  I am the lieutenant general of Canadian defense force. Its nice to meet y’all kids.” Said Samuel.

“Well everyone already knows,  I am Nickolai Drake. A soldier from Canadian defense forces etc etc.” Replied Nickolai after everyones introduction.

 “So whats next?” asked Andrew.

 “What do you mean?” Replied Jenette.

 “What I meant is that we can’t just sit here all day doing nothing.  If I can get a sample of blood of a zombie and a research facility to work in, I can come up with a way to cure this, so called infection. But, do you guys have any idea how this infection works?” said Andrew.

 “Well, the owner of this house also got infected with this infection. So we do have intel about how it works but we don’t know much about it either.” replied Jenette.

 “Hmmm I’d  like to learn in detail. Let’s get to it then.” said Andrew.

Time 6:00 pm

"Hmm. So, now let’s look at the details you gave me. The person affected by this virus as you stated gets fever and loses his consious and then he goes crazy. And all of this happens in a course of 2 hours, “said Andrew.

  "Yes" replied Samuel.

 "There is no way this is possible. I mean something like this going undetected for so long and then suddenly resurfacing.  It’s insane."

 "It’s true. It’s all I’ve seen. We had to put him down by shooting his head."

 "Shooting his head, huh" Nick intervenes

 "What happened Nick?" asked Andrew

 "So their brain is still functional. You said this means that the person may lose his consciousness but his brain is still functional.” Nick said.

 “That’s obvious idiot. How do you think they are walking?” Jeanette said.

 “No, he is right. There’s a phenomenon in which a person starts walking in their sleep.  You must’ve heard about sleep walking. In that, the muscles of the person’s brain remember the way he used to walk and hence he walks on his own.” replied Andrew

 “Weren’t you a microbiologist? How do you know all this stuff" Lofe asked Andrew.

 "Internet, my boy. Internet.”  Andrew replied with a big smile.

  "Yeah, sure. How can we forget that you love surfing the net.” Nickolai said

 “Guys we are getting off topic" Jeanette stops them.

 “Y-Yeah. So coming back to the topic, if I can get to a place where I can have equipments like a microscope and a centrifuge, we can find out the exact cause of it." Andrew said

 "Lofe! Can you make those things?" Nickolai asked Lofe

"Are you insane? I don’t even know what the heck a centrifuge is." Lofe replied

 "There is a research facility nearby in 97 Vincent Dr. Let’s go there and research." suggested Andrew

 “Yeah sure, with skills like yours, who doesn’t even know how to hold a gun, we’ll definitely survive.” Nickolai said, sarcastically.

 “Hey!” Lofe and Andrew said collectively.

 “I can teach them how to use guns while you and Jeanette can go around scavenging. Get whatever you can find but be back before dawn. We need clothes and food. Guns are in abundance but not food and water. We also need to power up the grid.” Samuel said.

 “Great idea, dad. This way we can be a lot productive” Jeannette said, praising her dad.

 “Good idea but it’s already evening and it will get dark soon. We can’t go out now.” Nickolai said

 “Then let’s do it in the morning. For now let’s prepare ourselves for tonight. So let’s prepare dinner.” Samuel told them

 “I’ll help” Andrew said

 “Lofe come with me. I will show you how to repair guns and handle them. You can be our cage man” Nickolai ordered Lofe

 “Alright, sounds cool.” Lofe replied.

 “Then I will be on guard duty. Someone needs to check the house” Jeanette said.
